Multiplication Cards for Visual Learners — Answers Included!

Multiplication Cards with Answers

Tell me if this makes sense… When a visual learner looks at a traditional flash card, they learn “Eight times six equals BLANK!” That’s what they see! No wonder it’s hard to remember!

I designed these cards to help my daughter learn her multiplication facts by seeing the whole sentence and enabling her to remember these facts as a complete picture.

Download these cards. Print them on colored card stock and cut them to size. I have included some really light dotted lines to show you exactly where to cut.

Also, don’t go out and buy a whole ream of card stock for each of these sheets. The copy center of OfficeMax and Staples… really any print shop will sell individual sheets of card stock for pennies. When your cards get old a frazzled, just print new ones!

Pick a different color for each fact series. It will help you in sorting the cards when they get all mixed up and will help the visual learner associate a color with a fact but it will drive the copy center dude nuts! You’ll need nine different colors and at least two sheets (2×9=18) 18 at 12¢ each is a lot less that 9 reams of card stock! I bought extra because I messed up and had to go back. Save yourself the trip.

Once completed, these cards are the perfect size for smaller hands and you don’t print them on both sides! One color, one multiplication fact series. Makes sorting a breeze!

Multiplication Cards for Visual Achievers — Answers Not Included!

Ok, you made me do it!

Here are the same downloadable cards without the answers!

As a student gains mastery, you can begin throwing in the blank ones to make things more challenging and use them to quiz a students progress. I looked and looked for simple “One Sided” multiplication cards in the stores and could never find them.

Apparently, to economize, cards are printed on the front and the back! Because of this, I could never take a set of just the “sixes” with me without needing to flip things around, show the right side… you get the idea.

These cards make life simple. Pick a color card stock, print them out, cut them up and you have a wonderful set of multiplication cards that not only look good but fit in your hand, unlike the giant fancy cards you may be familiar with.

Remember, don’t buy a whole ream of card stock for each color, just go to a copy center and buy card stock for pennies. Pick a different color for each fact sheet. You will need nine different colors and two sheets for each fact series. Consider buying extra sheets for each color… nothing can be more frustrating that messing up a print job and not having any more of that color card stock left.
